On “the night is long”, Charlotte addresses the feeling of not fitting in at a party, despite the expectations. She mentions that “It’s about social anxiety and the night feeling so long because you’re pretending to feel good when you’re actually not okay”:

“I’ve experienced that many times – feeling not ‘French enough’, feeling anxious, and wanting to hide it. But there’s a positive message in the song: the night will end, and you’ll get through it. You just have to remind yourself you’re a dope person.”

Self-produced over the span of a year, the track emerged from Charlotte’s own creative journey. She says, “I began creating the beat in early 2023, right after having the night that inspired the song.
